Unusual Trading Volumes Seen in 4 Altcoins on Upbit, South Korea’s Largest Cryptocurrency Exchange
Unusual transaction volumes were detected in some altcoins on Upbit, South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchange.
The 4-hour chart for IOTA showed a significant increase in trading volume on Upbit. The average 50 4-hour volume was $16 million, but the last recorded volume was a staggering $40 million, indicating a percentage change of 148.93%.
On the other hand, there was a decrease in Binance in the same period, and the volume decreased from 9 million to 5 million on average, showing a change of -39.92 percent.
Bitcoin Gold (BTG) also saw a dramatic increase in trading volume on the 1-hour chart on Upbit. Average 50 1-hour volume increased from $66k to 564k, a huge percentage change of 749.49%. Meanwhile, Binance experienced a decline, with volume dropping from an average of 27 thousand to 19 thousand, representing a change of -28.60 percent.
Qtum (QTUM) was also not left behind and the 4-hour chart showed a significant increase in trading volume on Upbit. The 4-hour average volume of 50, which was $566k, increased to 2 million, a percentage change of 196.71%. On Binance, volume increased slightly, from an average of 349 thousand to 375 thousand, for a percentage change of 7.39%.
Finally, Zilliqa (ZIL) also experienced an unusual increase in trading volume on the 1-hour chart on Upbit. Average 50 1-hour volume jumped from $4 million to $9 million, a change of 150.91%. However, there was a slight decline on Binance, with volume remaining stable at 8 million with a change of -1.13%.
